About Wyatt Claypool:

“Politicians should be less excited about how they can spend Canadians’ money and be more excited about what individual Canadians’ can do with their own money.” – Wyatt Claypool

While being one of the younger candidates for public office, Wyatt’s proactive involvement in the CPC board, vast number of pro-conservative initiatives and engagement with constituents in Calgary and Alberta, clearly demonstrates an impressive combination of experience, robust knowledge of issues, and dedication to Conservative principles. Wyatt is not afraid to speak out and stand up for social and fiscally conservative values much needed in today’s political world here in Canada.

Wyatt has a background in public policy with a Bachelor’s degree in Policy Studies from Mount Royal University and a Master’s degree in Public Policy (MPP) from the University of Calgary. He has extensive knowledge of criminal justice, public finance, and foreign policy, and the gaps in Canada’s current approach to those issues. Wyatt has advised on policy platforms, and developed strategy and on-the-ground support for conservative campaigns in Calgary and across the province.

He was a reporter at The Post Millennial before leaving to cofound his successful online news outlet The National Telegraph (TNT). Wyatt researches, writes, and publishes articles, is the senior editor and operator of the organization. Because of his recognized expertise, Wyatt has been an invited guest on other media news and post casts. Wyatt specializes in reporting on political and bureaucratic corruption, most notably exposing Alberta Health Services’ mismanagement of medical resources in 2021 during COVID, leading to the removal of the presiding AHS CEO. Operating a Canadian media organization has given Wyatt insight into how the Canadian media landscape works, which makes him an important asset to the Conservative Party navigating Liberal-biased legacy media and big tech platforms

Wyatt has volunteered in many roles on various Conservative general election and nomination campaigns and with PACs promoting conservative values. In 2023, Wyatt’s skills in media and online advertising were key to winning multiple seats for the UCP in Calgary during the provincial election.
